Cardiac patient advisory panel
Patient and public involvement (PPI) in health is about putting patients and the public at the centre of all decisions that affect health. Giving a strong voice to patients and the public will bring about real change. It will mean that the public will have real influence wherever health and health services are discussed.
The CardioVascular and Stroke Network has developed a strategy which aims to facilitate patient and public involvement throughout the Network. We wish to ensure that the public are able to influence priorities for our work programme and are fully involved in decision making at all levels.
A very active Cardiac Patient Advisory Panel is at the centre of our patient and public involvement and is chaired by a patient representative. Patient representation is also found on our Network Board and also on most of our task groups.
The Network is looking for individuals who are either cardiac patients or who are or have been carers, to participate in our patient and public involvement. If you are interested in finding out more or becoming a member please contact the Network secretary, Rosie Trelawny, on 0207685 6270.
